The Solar Trailer Co designs and builds silent, mobile, off-grid solar power trailers in New Zealand for NZ wind, rain, dust, gravel and seismic conditions. Three tiers, real specs, qualified compliance.

What we build

Three production tiers from a single-axle 1-tonne-ute towable unit (Tier 1 — Solo) to a tandem-braked flagship (Tier 3 — Command) for major construction, multi-day festivals, film unit base camps and civil-defence response. Five mountable modules (irrigation pump, espresso & hospitality, PA & lighting rig, tool & charging, insulated chiller) extend any tier into a purpose-built deployment.

How we work

We talk like a foreman who knows the spec by heart and wouldn't waste your time. Numbers, units and tolerances are the heroes. Every claim is qualified — kWh, kg, dB, NZD ex-GST. If we can't measure it, we don't say it.

Compliance

Every Solar Trailer Co unit is transport-engineer certified, NZTA-registered as a Class TD trailer, with a current WoF and CoF where applicable. The electrical stack carries an NZ Electrical Safety Certificate. Tier 1 tows on a normal car licence; Tier 3 needs a Class 1 with HT endorsement for the braked tandem.
